Proper Brake Spring Washer Orientation

My 35 is going back together. We installed the rear axles with new bearings yesterday, and this evening I reassembled the brakes. However, after I had installed the brake shoes, I had four extra cupped washers that attach to the “nails” that extend through the backing plate and that locate the brake shoes. I did not notice doubles as I disassembled the brakes. Are some of the springs to have an extra washer? Any other ideas?

Each of the hold down springs should have two cupped washers. The one under the hold down spring should be installed so the cupped part is up and the one that goes on top of the spring is installed with the cupped part facing down.
